Woodward Small Companies
Based on our SGARP philosophy, the strategy invests primarily in small cap companies that we believe are reasonably priced and offer substantial long-term value. The goal of this strategy is to generate excess returns vs the benchmark, while also providing lower volatility.
The Leading Firms (TLF)
TLF utilizes a long-term, SGARP oriented fundamental approach to invest in a small number of extremely high quality, reasonably priced companies that we believe are likely to compound enterprise value at a rate well above the general market over a long-time horizon.

Founder & CIO
Madison Woodward is Founder and CIO of Woodward Investment Management, LLC. Prior to founding Woodward IM, Madison was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Avalon Advisors, a large RIA in Texas that caters to high-net-worth individuals and select institutions. While at Avalon, Madison was the Portfolio Manager for the SMID Cap Equity strategy, the Concentrated Equity Strategy, and the Bexar Strategy. In addition, Madison was Head of Equity Trading between May 2015 and October 2016. Prior to joining Avalon, Madison was a Business Analyst at Equity Metrix, an oil and gas auditing firm based in Dallas, TX. Madison graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in Economics.

Anisa E. Perez is COO of Woodward Investment Management, LLC. Anisa brings more than two decades of experience in the financial services sector. Most recently, Anisa was a Managing Partner of AlbaSources, LLC where she focused on operations, marketing and compliance consulting. Previously, she was a Managing Director and Head of Investment Operations and Culture at Avalon Advisors. In this capacity, she oversaw operations, marketing and the firm’s GIPS compliance. Prior to that, Anisa was based in London working with Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management division and the Latin American Equity trading desk at Banco Santander. Anisa graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. in English, specializing in Creative Writing.
